Name: Rick Mabie From: Mishawaka, IN USA Time: Saturday, July 24, 1999 at 01:43:09 (EDT) Visited: OA Section List Referred by: Just Surfed On In! I had designed and created 2 patches while the Village Advisor for Yokota AB: An Alogogan Back Patch (Awarded to Brotherhood members for exceptional work but not yet Vigil eligible) and a back patch for our Dance Team the Eastern Wind Dancers. I was the instructor and advisor, my star pupil was Wes Griffin who had a natural feel for the hoop dance. I don't have a scanner, and would like to see our patches with the OA Collection. If any members or former members of our lodge send you a copy, it would be nice to see. We all worked hard and in both regalia and respect we removed the headdressed phony Hollywood stereotype and promoted the scouting and camping as American Indians would. Being an American Indian, I would know. Where is your lodge, if you ever need a hoop dancer, maybe I can help you out... I compete at the National level @ powwow with 35-40 hoops. Great site, good luck in scouting and in life.
