Section History

Northeast Region Section 5A consists of seven lodges that cover NW Pennsylvania and Western New York. In 1997, as a result of the realignment of the sections within the Northeast Region, four lodges from NE-3A and three lodges from NE-5 combined to form the new Section 5A. The remaining 7 lodges from NE-5 became NE-4B. The final NE-3A conclave was held at Camp Gorton (TKaen DoD 30), while the final NE-5 conclave was held at Camp Seven Mountains (Monaken 103).

Each year the section holds a conclave to conduct leadership training, seminars, and various competitions, and serves to strengthen the fellowship among the arrowmen in the section. The first NE-5A Section Conclave was held September 11-13 at Camp Olmstead (Gyantwachia 255). The 1999 Conclave was held at Camp Merz (Ho-Nan-Ne-Ho-Ont 165).
